Sage collects only what we need to help you. When you talk to Sage, the text of your spoken question and any photo you take with See for Me is sent — over a secure connection — to OpenAI to generate a response. We do not store that content on our servers after the response is returned.
Your memory notes, your selected accessibility needs, and your daily check-in history are stored on your device. They are never sent to our servers and never shared with anyone.
For AI responses, we use the OpenAI API. Per OpenAI's API terms, your queries are not used to train OpenAI's models. OpenAI retains queries for 30 days for abuse monitoring and then deletes them.
Sage uses OpenAI to power its AI features. When you ask Sage a question by voice or text, or when you use See for Me / Read for Me, the text of your question, your camera image, or the text you paste for a scam check is sent securely to OpenAI's API to generate a response.
What we send to OpenAI:
What we never send to OpenAI:
Per OpenAI's API terms, your queries are not used to train their models. OpenAI retains queries for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deletes them. Their privacy policy: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
The first time you open Sage, the app shows an "AI Consent" screen that summarises this and asks for your permission before any AI feature is used.
Sage does not require an account. The only personal data on your device is the set of accessibility needs you picked at onboarding, your AI consent flag, and your memory notes. You can erase all of it from inside the app at any time: open the home screen, tap the gear, scroll down, and tap "Delete everything". The app returns to its first-launch state immediately. No website visit, email, or customer-service call is needed.
Sage Pro and Sage Family are managed by Apple. Apple processes all payments. We never see your card.
If you enable Sage Family, a one-way summary of your day is sent by email to one trusted contact you choose. This is sent from your device. The trusted contact cannot see your live data, cannot reply through Sage, and cannot control anything on your phone.
You can delete all Sage data at any time by uninstalling the app. To request anything further, email info@fourcents.in.
